Master Warrant Officer Ishola AR, a dedicated officer with 24 years of service in the NAF was allegedly declared a deserter without due process.
On July 9th, 2024 The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District Ogun State, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu submitted a petition to the Nigerian Senate against the Nigerian Airforce over misuse of office and official high-handedness against Warrant Officer Ishola AR.
The petition reads:
“Master Warrant Officer Ishola AR, a dedicated officer from Ewekoro Local Area of Ogun State—part of my constituency—
..has served in the Nigerian Air Force for twenty-four years. Unfortunately, her husband, Late Warrant Officer Olawale Taiwo Daramola, also an officer, died in the line of duty.
Ishola was unjustly declared a deserter by the Air Force without due process, and her husband’s entitlements have been withheld. I appealed to the Senate for intervention to ensure she received her husband’s entitlements and her own reinstatement.”
Ishola’s child’s scholarship has also been withheld with some of her belongings seized.
The officer is currently battling some health challenges.
Her late husband, Warrant Officer Olawale Taiwo Daramola, who was also an officer in the Nigerian Air Force died in active service in 2016.
