The Oyo state government has confirmed reports of an explosion that rocked Ibadan, the state capital on January 16, 2024.
In a statement published on social media, the state government said it is aware of the explosion and that security agents are investigating the incident to determine the source and cause of the explosion.

Two people were reportedly died in the explosion while over 70 people were seriously injured and presently taking treatment at different hospital in the state.
Also, many have been displaced.
