The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed that bandits killed one person and abducted six others in Tursa village, Rabba Local Government Area.
The attack happened early on Tuesday morning.
Ahmed Rufai, a spokesman for the Command, claimed that the attackers broke into the village and set fire to a house where the victim was burned.
According to Rufai, livestock was also rustled and other properties, including motorcycles, were set on fire.
